Posted on Vladislav BVerified Gokyo trek, 9 people, different ages Many thanks for the professional and at the same time friendly approach of the people from the Agency. Excellent communication and human warmth from Meena Sherpa. Polite, friendly and safe, fun and in many ways enriching the company of Lakhpa Sherpa.Originally we did not want any guide, we like our freedom. In the end we did not regret for a moment that Lakhpa was with us. He fit in perfectly and became a true friend to us in the mountains. Many thanks VladislavPosted on Filip KVerified Nepal trek in October We had an amazing trek in Nepal thanks to Sherpa Society Trekking, and especially to our wonderful guide, named Lhakpa tshering sherpa. Great driver and guide throughout Kathmandu. Saw so many special places and so great to have a local by your side to give you the ins and outs. Great attention to detail and always checking in to see if our needs were being met. Highly recommend.Posted on Julie HVerified Wow, what a great experience! We booked a 7 day sight seeing trip with Meena Sherpa with 2 days of light trekking out of Kathmandu. What a fantastic time we had. The small hotels/guest houses were charming. The days were full but we added a couple extra rest days in too. The guide and driver were very attentive to our needs and willing to adjust the itinerary if we needed to. I particularly enjoyed stopping for breakfast snack at small places on the streets of Bhaktapur and tea shops along our trek. Both Meena and our guide Prahba went out of the way to find my brother Buffalo hide and beads for his business. I highly recommend booking a trip with her. They do a variety of custom trips at very reasonable prices.Posted on Pavlina HVerified Professional service - I recommend! Thank you for the perfect service and logistics. Meena is a professional and with her care and her professional team of guides and porters you will be in good hands!Posted on Cindy61756Verified Bhutan Incredible Bhutan—- great break from the US- pristine country- historic- rural- Buddhist-safe-clean-quiet. Great driver and Bhutan guide!Posted on JamesHenry65Verified Wonderful Trekking Experience with Sherpa Trekking Society We recently completed a 10-day trek around Manaslu with Sherpa Trekking Society and had a great experience. From the beginning, Meena was incredibly helpful in organizing a private trip for me and my twin sister. She tailored the itinerary to fit our preferences and dates, and she was always quick to answer any questions we had. Meena also took care of all the logistics, including airport pickup, hiking permits, and transportation, which made everything run smoothly. The trek itself was a memorable adventure. Manaslu is slightly less developed than more popular areas like Annapurna, which made it feel more authentic and off the beaten path. We went at the end of the season in late November/early December, which meant we avoided crowds and got lucky with great weather. The hike was quite challenging due to the constant ups and downs, but it was rewarding to visit remote villages only accessible on foot. The views and cultural experiences along the way made all the effort worth it.During the trek, our guide Roshan and porter Mingmar were fantastic. Roshan helped us keep a steady pace and prepared us for the weather and altitude changes, while Mingmar ensured our gear was carried safely and supported us along the way. They both arranged accommodations and meals during the hike, so we could just focus on enjoying the experience. On our final day in Kathmandu, Meena kindly showed us around the city. She shared her knowledge of Buddhism and Hinduism and took us to the Buddha Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. It was a lovely way to end the trip and gave us a deeper appreciation for Nepalese culture. With so many trekking companies to choose from in Nepal, it can be hard to decide who to go with. But based on the quality of service and attention to detail we received, I can confidently say that Sherpa Trekking Society stands out. They made our trip seamless, enjoyable, and memorable in every way. Thank you to Meena, Roshan, and Mingmar for an incredible experience!Posted on Lucie ŽVerified The best experiences and memories of a lifetime. We got a recommendation for Sherpa Society, and honestly, looking back, we couldn’t have made a better choice. From the moment I sent my first email, Meena, who runs the office, replied super quickly and helped us put together an itinerary that worked perfectly for the time we had. We tweaked it a little to fit what we wanted, and Meena was so patient and helpful throughout the whole process. She explained everything clearly and answered all our questions. It was such a lovely touch that she came to meet us in person in Kathmandu and even made sure we got to the bus station early the next morning to start our trek.We were a little nervous before the trip about what our guide would be like—whether we’d click or not—because we knew how much that would affect the whole experience. For our trek around Manaslu and part of the Annapurna Circuit, we got paired with Laxman, and wow, we couldn’t have been happier. He’s not only a really experienced guide but also such a kind and thoughtful person. He was always there to help, super responsible, and paid attention to all the little details. He was so sweet and considerate, but also firm when it was needed—like when he managed to get us a room in a completely packed lodge or made sure we got breakfast early before crossing the Thorong Pass at High Camp, even though it was crazy busy. One really special thing happened during the trek. Another guide from Sherpa Society was leading a young couple who wanted to get married in the mountains. They even had traditional Nepali outfits made for the occasion! Since our routes overlapped for a few days, we got to meet them and be part of their special moment. It was such an amazing experience, and we loved getting to know them.Overall, the trek was incredible, and the team at Sherpa Society played such a big part in making it so memorable. If we ever come back to Nepal (and I hope we do), there’s no doubt we’d choose them again.Thank you Meena and Laxman for everything!Lucie & VlastaLoad more
