This Annapurna Panorama Trek is a rewarding journey through some of the most scenic and less-crowded trails of the Annapurna region. Combining the classic viewpoints of Tadapani and Dobato with the remote beauty of Khopra Danda and the eco-friendly ridge of Mohare Danda, the trek offers spectacular Himalayan panoramas, rich village culture, and a sacred high-altitude excursion to Khayer Lake.

Route itinerary

Day 1

Drive or Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara (822 m)

Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara either by scenic tourist bus (6–7 hours) or a short domestic flight (approx. 25 minutes). Pokhara, set beside Phewa Lake, is Nepal’s most beautiful lakeside city and the gateway to the Annapurna region.

DAY 2

Drive to Ghandruk & Trek to Tadapani (2,630m)

After breakfast, drive to Ghandruk, a charming Gurung village known for its traditional houses and mountain culture. Begin trekking through terraced fields and rhododendron forests, gradually ascending to Tadapani, a classic viewpoint for Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

DAY 3

Trek from Tadapani to Dobato (3,350m)

The trail leads uphill through dense rhododendron and oak forests to Dobato, a quiet ridge area. An optional early-morning hike to Mulde Viewpoint rewards trekkers with outstanding panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

DAY 4

Trek from Dobato to Shristibung (4,150m)

After breakfast, trek through open alpine terrain, yak pastures, and wide valleys with beautiful mountain views. The trail gradually ascends into the remote landscape of Upper Dolpo. Reach Shristibung, a seasonal settlement and important acclimatization camp.

DAY 5

Trek to Khopra Danda (3,660m)

Today’s trek brings you to the scenic ridge of Khopra Danda, one of the finest viewpoints in the Annapurna region. From here, enjoy close and unobstructed views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Nilgiri, and surrounding peaks.

DAY 6

Excursion to Khayer Lake (4,500m)

An early start for a challenging yet spiritually significant hike to Khayer Lake, a sacred alpine lake revered by Hindu pilgrims. After spending time at the lake and enjoying the high-altitude landscape, return to Khopra Danda.

DAY 7

Trek to Swanta Village (2,215 m)

Descend through forests and terraced farmland to Swanta, a traditional Magar village. This day offers cultural insight into rural mountain life and warm local hospitality.

DAY 8

Trek to Mohare Danda (2,875m)

Climb gradually to Mohare Danda, a community-managed eco-viewpoint famous for stunning sunrise and sunset views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. This area highlights sustainable tourism and local community involvement.

Overnight: Community Lodge

DAY 9

Trek to Hille & Drive Back to Pokhara

Descend through forests and villages to Hille, where the trek concludes. Drive back to Pokhara and relax by the lakeside after your trekking adventure.

DAY 10

Fly or Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

Return to Kathmandu by domestic flight or tourist bus, marking the end of your Annapurna Panorama Trek.
