Patan Durbar Square

Patan Durbar square is located 5 kilometers away, south east of the city. The city is full of Buddhist and Hindu monuments which carry history since 2 nd  BC since Samrat Ashoka erected the 4 stupas and set the center as Patan. It has its most magnificent architectural splendor and unique beauty. Each of the monuments, squares, Bihars (ancient dwelling for Bhiksu, Buddhist monks) has unique arts, carvings and importance. Krishna Mandir (temple) is popular as Asia’s greatest mythological war story is carved on the temple’s walls. Golden temple, Maha Bouddha Temple (1000 terracotta Buddha Pagoda), Rudravarna Maha Bihar (Metal art collections) and many more such as the Bihar courtyard and gully connect to the local market where a lot of traditional items displayed. This gives the most amazing experience of the local way of life.
