It is one of most popular trekking destination since many decades. The most attraction is the chain of Great HIMALAYAN RANGE including the world tallest mountain Mt. EVEREST 8850 meter. From the 2nd day of trekking you will be in the Nepal’s first national park which was established in 1976 and is World Heritage site covering 1148 sq. km.
It is an exceptional area with dramatic mountains, glaciers, deep valleys and settlements of Sherpa people inhabited the region since 16th century and follows Tibetan Buddhist. They have been protecting the nature and culture in many ways with their true hardship.
For the first two days we trek slowly, to aid acclimatization, heading north up the Dudh Kosi valley. Our route takes us through beautiful tracks of pine and rhododendron forest, with the peaks Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru soaring above the trail. It is the steep ascent to Namche Bazaar (3446m), the capital of the famous Khumbu Sherpa, where we are rewarded with spectacular mountain vistas. We allow a rest day here for acclimatization and there will be the option of short walks towards the Khumjung village.
From Namche, we follow the trail to the famous Thyangboche Monastery, located high on a ridge where a magnificent 360- degree panorama of Himalayan giants is laid before us. The views of Everest, the Lhotse-Nuptse wall, Ama Dablam and Kantega dominate this peaceful spiritual location, surely one of the most tranquil and inspiring places in the world. We continue to Imja Khola valley of Upper Pangboche to Chukkung valley for excursion for acclimatization. Further to Gorakshep and Kala Pathar the highest view point we reach at 5550m.
During trekking, we use local lodges. Almost all the places have solar or local hydro power electricity available. Even due to extreme climate, facilities are improving with extra possible knowledge and hardship, during last few years.
NOTE: All trips can be customized as per your interest, fitness level and schedule.
